I have been so pleased with the results of your work. It was the best value for money that I have ever had, even if the first news of the price of the ceramic joint did bring tears to my eyes. I hardly think about it from one day to the next, it performs brilliantly against all the criteria I set out when we first met and as well as that, has survived falls and impacts.
A few weeks ago I fell down the stairs in the night and it was several hours later that I thought ‘gosh! I didn’t notice anything in my hip’. My walking is restricted by general fitness only and I climb over stiles much better than many younger people with natural hips. My friends hold me as a wonderful example of what a new hip can do and I always give the credit to you and the Joint Clinic.
I enclose a photo taken just under 2 years after the operation at a ‘Russian Evening’ at our social club (I was going to airbrush out the table but my electronic skills are not yet up to it). It was my right hip you replaced.
I shall continue to praise you personally and the Joint Clinic and minimum invasive surgery in general. I would be very happy to take part in any survey.
