The team of specialists include seven Orthopaedic Consultants and one Consultant Neurosurgeon who joined together to form one of the first multi-disciplinary Orthopaedic clinics in the UK. Whether suffering from a sports injury, arthritis or worn out joints, there is a Joint Clinic specialist who will advise and treat you with the skill, care and understanding you would expect.

Mr Andrew Mahon MB BCh MSc FRCS (Tr & Orth)Specialist Orthopaedic Hand SurgeonAndrew grew up in South Wales. He graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff. He undertook specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery in the North of England and at the same time completed a Masters Degree in Orthopaedic Engineering. |

Mr Alex Reading MD, FRCS (TR & ORTH), MBChBSpecialist Hip and Lower Limb SurgeonAlex studied medicine at Glasgow University Medical School and undertook a fellowship in hip surgery at Bristol. As a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon he specialises in primary and revision hip replacement surgery, knee replacement surgery and arthroscopy. He has been trained in minimally invasive hip surgery and can offer this service to patients. |

Mr David Selvey MBBCH(SA), FRCS Glasgow, FCS SA (Orth), MMed (Orth)Specialist Shoulder and Upper Limb SurgeonDavid was born in Johannesburg South Africa and completed his undergraduate training at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He completed his junior training in the UK before returning to South Africa to specialise as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Cape Town. Here he aquired the South African Colleges Fellowship in Orthopaedic as well as a Masters degree in Orthopaedics. |

Mr Giuseppe Sforza MDConsultant Orthopaedic Surgeon. Shoulder and Elbow SurgeonGiuseppe Sforza studied medicine at the University of Bari in Italy, 1986 - 1992. After completion of his general surgical training, he continued his higher orthopaedic training at the same University. He spent periods of fellowship at the Danderyd Hospital - Karolinska Institute, Stockholm - Sweden and at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute in Los Angeles, USA, where he started research into shoulder arthroscopy and open shoulder surgery. |

Mr Jonathan WasserbergConsultant Spinal NeurosurgeonJonathan Wasserberg is a Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, England. He studied medicine at Cambridge University then trained in spinal neurosurgery in Glasgow. He has been a consultant since 1998 and has a broad experience of spine surgery. |

Mr Melwyn Pereira MBBS, MS, D.Orth, FRCS (Tr&Orth)Specialist Foot and Ankle SurgeonMelwyn is a specialist Foot and Ankle Surgeon at the Redditch and Kidderminster Hospitals. He studied medicine at the University of Bombay, India, where he went on to do a postgraduate residency in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He worked as a lecturer in Orthopaedics at one of the University teaching hospitals in Bombay, before he was selected to come to the UK on an overseas Doctor’s Training Scheme of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. |

Ms Anna Moon MD PhDSpecialist Hand SurgeonAnna was born in Slovakia where she completed her undergraduate training at the University Hospital, Kosice. She then trained in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Slovakia, Austria and the UK. Anna wrote her Ph Thesis on the microsurgical techniques used in Hand Surgery. She has extensively trained with specialists in hand injuries and microsurgery and performed more than 100 re-plantations (microsurgical re-attachment of amputated hands). |

Mr Divya Prakash FRCS (Ed & Gl) MCh Orth FRCS (Orth)Consultant Knee SurgeonDivya is a Specialist Knee Surgeon. He was born in India and did his basic training over there but he came to the Midlands to do his specialist training in orthopaedic surgery. He developed an interest in knee surgery fairly early in his career, having worked with some famous knee surgeons and he followed this up with doing a fellowship in knee surgery in Nottingham. |

Dr Mahesh ChaudhariAnaesthesia and Pain MedicineDr Mahesh Chaudhari is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. He has completed specialist training in Anaesthesia and Pain management through the West Midland Deanery’s rotational training scheme. |

Mr Edward BachePaediatric OrthopaedicsEdward was appointed as consultant to Birmingham Children’s hospital and The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in 2003. His practice covers a full range of paediatric orthopaedic conditions. He has also developed a specific interest in disorders affecting the young adult hip and sport related hip disease. |
