Mr Melwyn Pereira, MBBS, MS, D.Orth, FRCS (Tr&Orth). Melwyn is a specialist Foot and Ankle Surgeon at the Redditch and Kidderminster Hospitals. He studied medicine at the University of Bombay, India, where he went on to do a postgraduate residency in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He worked as a lecturer in Orthopaedics at one of the University teaching hospitals in Bombay, before he was selected to come to the UK on an overseas Doctor’s Training Scheme of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
He worked as a Specialist Registrar in London and South East England on the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore rotation before taking up his appointment as a consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Redditch and Kidderminster in 2002. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery Society.
